to take us out. >> the concern investors might have is the pulte is already up. holmes is also up. what could you say the market is ahead of the recovery and a lot of this is already factored in to where we trade? i know the call i believe is for 30% gain on the home builder stocks over the next year. >> we're definitely comfortable with our call to the upside. and we think the spring selling season will be robust. it's going to beat investor expectations. we think volume sales will definitely come in ahead what the street is looking for right now. we think pricing is going to be much firmer. we look for upward move on kay schiller. and gross margin performance will beat street expectations. we're actually very comfortable being up there, if you look at toll numbers, if you look what we're looking for on a forecast for the national association of home builders, if we get to 950, that's going to be terrific. my call is that by the end of '13, our exit rate will be above 1 million. if we get there from a psychological standpoint, huge boost for investors. >> i'm curious about your call on

't traditionally trade at these multiples and the pultes are in the 20s as well. that's the biggest problem to having these stocks move forward. it's just that people have already bought into the overall group. let me talk about the autoparts business. i don't normally talk about them a lot but look at the numbers, pep boys and autozone. pep boys had terrible numbers. their sales are really bad. tires weren't great. the do-it-yourself wasn't great. i would say part of the problem is pep boys, structural problems at pep boys individually. au autozone had numbers that were okay but sales seemed to be decelerating a little bit. i think overall the problem here, new car sales are getting better so the do-it-up self market is just not as strong as before. what's going on in the other industries here, we're about even on the advance/decline line. i think you're right. there's not a lot of movements individually between certain sectors right now. >> that could all change in a heartbeat. we know that. thanks, bob. >>> companies doing business in china. some of the biggest laggards, the market flash

to do like beazer. pulte is well positioned. beazer is a turnaround story. it is one that over the next year, year and a half, could do quite well and there's a lot more juice left in the stock. >> for a long time during the year people kept trying to argue the real story is one level below. it's sherwin williams, usg. true or pot? >> i think there was a rotation trade that happened. builders ran up quite a bit in the beginning of the year. ran up again in the second half. people look for ancillary ways to play housing. those names have caught up a lot in terms of valuation. you can be choosy. we like mohawk a lot. but i think you have to be choosy in terms of valuation because thief had big runs, too. >> you point out for december traffic perspective buyers. pretty good, right? how would you characterize it? >> i think what we did see this year which is pretty interesting, normally there is a lot of seasonality. summertime, things drop off. gets better for a little bit in fall and then slows down toward the end of the year. we haven't seen that seasonality. things have stayed strong. a
